5 Stars I’m the problem
no odor, no problems with the filters, they fit great, go into space well…………I have a problem letting the stuff inside set too long.

The filters work that good!!

5 Stars compost crock
We use this container for the litter box packages and it woks wonderfully. There is no odor and we have a place for the kittie’s used litter until we have a moment to remove it to the garbage. Love it…

4 Stars Yay!
This has really made a difference in the smell factor of composting. It’s a wonderful product, although my husband is always worried about chipping it.

4 Stars Earth friendly filters at the best price
After searching the web I found this offer to be the best value for the money. I have used the crock for several years and the filters last quite a while.

4 Stars k maxcy
I really like this product. It sits near the kitchen sink where food peelings and leftover plated veggies can easily be tossed in. The carbon filter keeps the container odorless for days at a time and can be used for a month or more before a change is necessary. I dislike having to dump/empty the container and then wash out the remaining old product. A recyclable/reusuable filter (like a coffeemaker filter) would make this product a 5 star piece.

Red Wiggler Worms

Red Wiggler Worms

One lb package has about 1000 worms.

User Ratings and Reviews

5 Stars All Alive!
The picture for these worms made me a little nervous, however they arrived very quickly and all were alive. They come in a white pouch that protects them during shipping. There were all ages, very tiny white babies and grown adults. They are shipped in a dirt/coir mixture which kept them safe. I would order from this company again.

5 Stars Worm Review
I have the happiest worms in Georgia! They arrived safely right after the Worm Factory, giving me time to set it up. They are all smiles and are doing a fine job of providing worm tea and composting the scraps which I feed them. Everyone who comes over gets to sit on the low stool in my SunRoom and I lift the Trays to reveal the hanging worms transferring from one tray to the other. They are easily grabbed for a fishing adventure! Very impressive. I’ll be sharing our experiences at the Garden clubs I belong to.

5 Stars Scrumptious!
Hesitant at first about mail-order worms, but extremely pleased with purchase. Flavor notes: Woodsy, slightly floral bouquet followed by a rich nuttiness and a slightly smoky, slightly salty finish. Fantastic with a sidecar of soy sauce and box of cheap merlot.

5 Stars Worms eat my garbage
I Love my worms. The were shipped on time and arrived well. They are at this moment very happy! And, so am I

5 Stars This composter is great!
Garden Composter - Made from 100% Recycled Plastic

Gaiam produces top-quality products that are earth-friendly and high-quality. This composter was an exceptional value.

4 Stars So Far So Good
I just purchased this product about a month ago and SO FAR SO GOOD. It serves it’s purpose, it was easy to assemble and easy to maintain. I have no serious complaints other than the top flap could be a little sturdier. Other than that, it holds compost, it stays together. Enough said.

3 Stars Composter details
The composer is plastic and easy to assemble if you are patient. The top doesn’t lock on and can be blown off by a stiff wind. The plastic stakes aren’t strong enough to keep it from being blown over so use steel rods or concrete blocks to hold it up. Other than that,it holds compost.

1 Star My Experience So Far; UPDATED
The composter I purchased from Gaiam arrived incomplete; in fact it was missing several pieces. I contacted the manufacturer of this unit (not Gaiam) and no one returned my call. I then followed Gaiam’s return intructions, which were fairly clear but which cost me $35 FedEx to return. I later received an email from Gaiam explaining that they received the composter and that a new one would be coming to me in December. Apparently they were out of them at that time (11/13/2008).

UPDATE: the new composter arived on December 1, earlier than promised. The unit is in fine condition and complete. I am very satisfied with it, as well as Gaiam’s quick response to this problem.

2 Stars Animal problems
It was quick and easy to assemble. But it’s rather slow to compost materials (and, I’ll be honest, I don’t rotate it much - it’s a nuisance to do it). But the big problem is that small animals either knock off the top, or chew holes through the part where you can take the compost out. And they create quite a mess in our yard. Next time, I’ll get an “off the ground” version, and perhaps a tumbler that I can turn with a handle.

Composting Bin Extendable

This strong yet lightweight compost bin stores and composts organic waste. Ventilating holes aerate compost for faster decomposing. Includes composting instructions. Easy to assemble. Measures 36 in H and 142 in L. Made from heavy-duty plastic.

User Ratings and Reviews

5 Stars Cheap is best
All compost bins work pretty much the same so the least expensive ones are the best. These bins, however, can be attached end to end to form a double or triple sized bins for really serious organic growers like me.

5 Stars Hubby was MAD I purchased this
Hubby was mad when I purchased this. “What’s wrong with just a pile?”

Once it was up, the man came around.

It is waaaay larger than I thought. We don’t have leaves or yard clipping (pine straw changes the chemistry) but it’s pretty cool.

Grands LOVE to toss their bananna peels in.

4 Stars Better than expected
These bins are *much* larger than they look in the picture as they are expandable up to three feet across. To keep them from falling in, they do require a stake or two when fully expanded, particularly when placed on slanted ground, but I thought that was a reasonable expectation for the flexibility of the product. I like that they are open on the top to allow rain to enter and have holes on the sides for ventilation. We have a lot of leaves and grass clippings and are very happy with the amount we can fit in each bin.

1 Star does not hold up
I ordered this and unfortunately it keeps falling over. I wonder if the other customers put sticks to hold it straight

4 Stars Great starter composte bin!
I have looked at many websites for a composte bin for our home. With a few kids at home I cook a lot. We have scraps, we have left overs. We have a yard, so we have leaves. I hate to see waste, and felt that I really needed to recycle some of our “stuff” better. God gave us this planet, I could be doing better. When I saw this, it was my answer. We have it in our backyard and we are already seeing our kids chip in and think about our recycling efforts.
